People always ask me....."Are you still alone or single?" To answer that question I have to now say no. Not because I have met somebody, or have a partner to share my life with yet, but I am not alone or single. I use to deal with intense feelings of loneliness, but have now come to understand that I am never alone or single. Single means to be apart from others. We are never apart.....we are a part of Christ and each other always. We also never can be alone unless we choose to be. Christ came to reconnect us to God and each other both spiritually and in relationship. The depth and quality of these relationships will impact how we feel and how much joy, peace we enjoy.
A message of empowerment to connection for the purpose of giving success and momentum to our lives and the lives we touch....by re-connection with God, your Authentic self and others.....

A Higher Calling
I have recently answered a higher calling. I like many have lived too long focused on my own life. When am I going to meet Mr. Right, How am I going to pay these bills, should I look for another job? But all of these things are trivial in the grand scheme of things. Not because they have no relevance, but because Jesus teaches us that we do not have to worry about such things. God knows what we have need of and will meet our need. This truth has been brought home powerfully this summer. God has proved faithful! So if a follower of Christ should not worry about such things than what should we focus on?
I am glad you asked? lol
God takes care of our needs and has a way of bringing to us the things and answers that are on our hearts. God created the universe to work this way. This may sound a bit naive or simplistic or even way too optimistic. However Jesus tells us to seek God's kingdom and God will meet our needs. Another way to say this is," seek to take care of the things important to God's heart and God will take care of what is important for your life".
Recently I have relinquished my selfish pursuit of taking care of me and have began the resting my faith in the faithfulness of God as I have begun following after the pursuits of Christ by reaching out to the "least of these" that God brings into my life. This is the higher calling. Not to sugest that I am better than anybody but to suggest that this calling or way of life is better and brings about true peace, life and joy to both God and us.
Matthew 6:33
Matthew 25:40

Has anybody seen Jesus?
I have recently took the next step in my return to ministry by being ordained by the Progressive Christian Alliance. When I came across this group I was very excited because they speak to many issues that have been on my heart and mind during the last 4 years. When I look at the church today, I don't see Jesus. This week I was driving past a church in my local town and they had signs on thier lawns urging voters to vote in favor of a state amendment to define marriage as between a man a woman. I couldnt help but notice these signs on church lawns all over the city. I thought is this the most important issue to the church? I have never seen signs on the lawns urging people to feed the poor or reaching out in Love to your neighbor. Where is Jesus? Where is His message? Has the church lost touch with the real call and need in the world? Has the church became so political and focused on politics that it has become the new religious institution that Jesus would speak against in his sermons?
My heart breaks when I see the needs of the "least of these" in our world. Jesus is still speaking, anointing and sending laboeors of Love into the harvest field to minister to the " Least of these".
May we the church hear his voice, feel his heartbeat and answer His call!
The Least of these:
* Everyday over 8 million people die from poverty and malnutrition.
* 30,000 of this 8 million are children.
* Everyday 6000 children are orphaned by aids
* Everyday more and more people lose their jobs and/or homes
* Plus many more staggering statistics of human need and suffering.
Where would Jesus be? How important do you think it would be to promote legislation to discriminate against 10 % of the population about who they enter into loving relationships with in the mind of Christ.
The church is not only in error and misguided but has very misplaced priorities. But this is not the church as a whole. There are those who follow the teachings of Jesus by showing love to all. who reach out to those in need in Christ's name and who leave out the judging but include everybody in the fellowship of His Love and church.
