Change

In this political season we hear a lot about "change". What is change? Where does it come from?

Change- to alter, transform or to give a different position, course, or direction to.

I don't think anyone would argue that we need change in a lot of arenas. The economy is is in crisis, poverty is out of control, unjust wars and denial of basic human rights denied many in this world...so what do we do?

Do we blame it on the sinfulness and lack of moralitiy in our world today and call for global repentance?

Do we call for or elect for some national personality who would have all the answers?

Do we just wait for the return of Christ to snatch us out of this chaotic world and enable us to escape it's appointment with Destiny?

OR.....

Do we face the reality of the condition of this world with the truth of who we are called to be in the Kingdom of God and become the change this world needs?

How?
By applying the principles of Jesus:

*recognize our need as a spiritual one first
*Mourn (moved) by the need in the world
*non violent, submissive, humble
*seek justice ( seek things to be set right)
*motivated by compassion
*focus and singleness of purpose (no personal motives or agenda)

Living with these attitudes or approaches bring about the rule (influence) of God into this world. This is real change. It is not forceful and many times is unnoticed. However it's results will not be.
