Not Settling for this!

I was inspired while watching Oprah's Life Class with Joel Osteen yesterday. I love the ministry of Joel, simply because he is one of the few that stay so positive. Now, I am saddened and disagree with him on his GLBT stance, but he has at least acknowledged that is isn't a choice.A great pastor, once said, even a cow has the good sense to chew up the grass and spit out the sticks, in other-words, you don't have to agree with everything somebody says, to get value out of some of what they say. When I mention someone in my blog, it is not an endorsement of them, but of the message, I am siting. We all get it wrong sometime, but the Spirit gets it right all the time!

He and Oprah, was talking about, affirmation. Joel said, that whatever follows your, I am______ will find you". In other words whatever you say you are, you become. We all have I am statements, and for many of us, they are negative. The lesson, was to change what we say about ourselves and we ourselves, would change. I agree, with this however would like to go further.

I was a part of the Word of Faith movement at one time, and this kind of thinking can easily become, simple denial if one does not understand the full principle. I am not denying my present condition, or need. I am simply refusing to accept it, as final or as what I want for my life. I am surrendering it to a higher power or court if you will, God. I am not settling for what Life has thrown at me, as my destination. I accept its lesson, and am ready to move on in growth. Transcend, and go higher or as Joel, put it last night, turn the page.

Do not settle for the Life you have now, move on into the better plan, God has for you.
