What is being right? Is it perfection? In body and mind there is always room for improvement. However in spirit or essence we are whole and complete. In Spirit is everything we need for this life.
So in this existence or human experience where we find a sometimes uneasy partnership of spirit and humanity, we live from a whole spirit in an imperfect or developing humanity. Add to this the struggle with the ego, which is a false identity that we formed in our formative years, and life can be chaotic at worst, and hit and miss at best. This human experience is what the Apostle Paul was talking about, when he said I know what I want to do, but seem to always do what I don't want to do.
When we live from our ego or lower self, we miss the mark of God's best for our lives and make poor choices. When we live from Spirit and our higher selves, we live from a loving place and make better choices. So we see our behavior can be right sometimes and wrong other times. However, in Truth, in our real selves, we are right or whole. Our rightness and wholeness is from God and isa gift from God. It is not based on our behavior. If we live from this gift of God's Grace, then we rise above our lower self and rise to new heights and ways of living, that Christ came to show us. This is the abundant life he spoke of.
Christ did not come to start a religion, but came to show us a new way of living and relating to God and each other.
Being right is about our relationship standing with God and not about behavior. We will still mess up and make poor choices sometimes. But our life and relationship with God is settled and cannot be lost. We may turn our back on God, but God cannot ever be unfaithful or turn his back on us.
