For some faith and religion is about absolutes. However a healthy faith is one where we admit we don't have all the answers. Otherwise why would we need faith. We should explore why we believe what we believe.
If we fear questions then maybe our faith is too fragile and in need of questions. Human nature likes things neatly packaged and black and white. Perhaps this is why many Christians allow others to think for them. However this is very unhealthy and is one reason I believe religion has become non-relevant to so many people.
Recently I went with my Dad to the doctor. After he had a procedure done, we both had questions for the doctor. It is a healthy thing to do. Second opinions and exploring options are very important when it comes to physical health. How much more are questions, exploring options important to spiritual health.
