Focused?

Jesus taught that narrow is the way that leads to Life.....the word narrow means focused. But I have to ask is the church really focused on the right things. So much of it's effort is spent on "How to get to heaven or stay out of Hell or about "pet issues" that don't really make much difference in the everyday lives of people. As I look at the huge poverty rates across the world, the increase of numbers of HIV deaths across the world as well I wonder if our focus is on the right things.

I think our lives can be very changed if we simply asked God, What would you have me to do?

Here are a few suggestions and questions to ask:

1.) Who are the" least of these" in my community?

2.) What do they need, what issues do they face?

3.) What can I do to help?

4.) What would Jesus do and what does he want to do through his church?

The answer to these questions may be the answer to where our focus should be.
