New affilation

I am so happy to share that as of yesterday I was ordained with the Progressive Christian Alliance. This is a group that I share a common vision and purpose with. I believe God is moving to reach out and share the message of Jesus without the limitations that much of the church and organized religion places on who is "in and who is "out". God is not trying to exclude anybody, and he is not trying to conform people to look like eachother. God is a God of diversity and he celebrates our individuality. We all are unique and are called to a common purpose of Loving God, Each other, and our self. The answer to much of the world's problems are answered by Love!

I have as a gay Christian enjoyed and highly valued my church, MCC of the Palm Beaches and continue to attend and be a part there. However it is my belief that personally God has called me to an inclusive ministry of all people. I have no problem with my being a gay pastor and ministering to gay people but I believe that Christ has called me to minister to all people and I have a dream of seeing many all inclusive churches where sexual orientation is not a problem or whether one is gay or straight. We are just all God's children. I know that for me MCC has been a safe place and I can't express how valuable this has been for me and so many others. However I did not feel personally God calling me to pastor with MCC. I feel a call to reach out to ALL, and I was very honored to find such a great group as PCA.

This blog has been and will remain a GLBT ministry, however its message many times is much broader and is not limited to just our community. Which is why I have added and Friends in the title. This reflects what I believe God is doing.
