This morning my Pastor led us to pray for all of the candidates who are running for President. As a GLBT person it is hard to look at those who are in cahoots (okeechobee term) with those who are so against us. However Jesus commanded us to pray for our enemies or opponents. With the hopes that God would grant them repentance (change of mind). Imagine what would happen if this was to happen.
However this command is a hard one to swallow and obey. But he never said being a disciple would be easy, and besides who are we to judge....that is what they are guilty of and if we are going to represent God we must be different.
Ok you can go ahead and say Amen or ouch!
