What matters most?

Seven years ago, on the morning September 11, 2001 life in America was shaken. I remember watching in disbelief as the two towers fell. I also remember the change of focus that happened in America. We became a community. We focused on what was really important.

Now since then a lot has happened and a lot has been forgotten. Time can do that. In this time of war, political divisiveness, we need to remember what matters most. Remember to tell those we are close to that we Love them. We need to show those around us that we care. We need to reach out and unite around the things we can agree on and show tolerance for those we disagree with. We need to pray for those who are our enemies.

We are not called to bring war but rather peace......Do Justice. Love Mercy. Walk Humbly with God.

So today as we remember 9/11 lets remember the lessons of 9/11as well:

*People are important"
*Faith is important"
*Heroes are ordinary people showing love through sacrifice"
*that we need one another"

God has made the human spirit with the ability to rise above anything and shine forth and reveal the divine image!

Lord,

We come before you today and ask for your comfort and peace to those that lost so much today. We remember those who have been put in harms way as they represent this country in the service. May your Love and Peace rest upon each one who reads this and May we seek your kingdom that is the only true way to peace and victory over evil.

Amen
