Calling of Hope

There is a lot of talk about hope and change in this political season. I personally do not believe it is only in politics. Humankind is crying out for change. All over the world there is a knowing in the hearts of people that there needs to be change.

I believe God has heard that cry.In fact I believe that God has placed that cry and hunger for something better in our hearts.

What is faith...it is giving substance (or making room) for hope...Hebrews 11:1.Our Faith is acting on hope to give substance to the will and goodness of God.It compels us to pray, it motivates us to act, it creates an environment for God's goodness to manifest.

Today I was reading in Eph. 1:18 where the Apostle Paul says, "I pray also that you may know the hope to which he has called you...."Hope is from God and the Gospel of God's goodness and generosity is something we have been called to share in and with..to offer to a world that is calling out for change........

The world's problems will not be solved politically, but there is cause for hope (earnest expectation) and it is found in Christ.

So in these challenging times, when things look bleak and dark....the hope that we have in God will shine forth in our message, actions and lives. After all it is our calling to offer hope to a world that is looking.......
