In these times we see the power of Hope Trump Fear. Religion and Politics of the past has been fueled by fear. However, times are changing. The human heart and spirit is hungry for a message of Hope. An optimistic message that the future still holds promise. It holds more than Hell and Terror. Fear paralyzes is used to manipulate and and control. Hope empowers,motivates and invites participation.
Faith gives substance, and a place to what is hoped for. (Hebrews 11:1)
The Church as the expression of Faith in Christ cannot be the source of fear. The Gospel is a message of Hope and expectation. For too long some Christian leaders have monopolized the airwaves with a message of fear, negativity and narrow focus on just a few agenda items. Where has the hope been. There is a movement, which I believe is propelled by the Spirit of God and the Human heart. A calling forth for Hope and a better future. This is the Christian message.
I am supporting the more progressive and hopeful candidate for President, however more importantly I am looking to the future with faith and hope in Christ and His message. I will continue to pray for our nation and world but more importantly I will also put feet to my prayers and get out, roll up my sleeves and be part of the answer in obedient action......hope in action becomes the change we hunger for and we live in a world that is hungry......
Rom 15:13|Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
