Sin, Hell, judgement are all words that many have heard preached about God. However, when one looks at the message of Christ, which he called the Gospel, which literally means "good news" where do these words fit in?
Christ not only came with a message of Good News about God's Love and desire to have a relationship with everyone who would. He also came, revealing a unique view of God. He spoke of God as a parent. This was revolutionary!
God as our loving parent, does not desire to condemn us, or shame us, but God desires our success and happiness in Life. Now everything we do, does not necessarily please God, but when our life is out of Sync, it brings us unhappiness, which is not God's will for us. So God, who is committed to our success, desires as any good parent to get us on track in our life, through correction and instruction, not judgement, guilt or shame.
If any natural human parent, acted the way many religious try to characterize God, we would report them for child abuse. God is not an abuser, but it committed to our success in Life.
God wants to help us correct our course and get living our lives in the flow of our purpose.
Open yourself to God's direction and instructing, and move forward in your life!
