I am amazed at how Things seem to flow together. I was just reading Mastin Kipp's blog and it is so right in line with what God has been speaking to me. I highly recommend his blog "The Daily Love" for some great discussions and Ahas!
In the last few days, I have been discussing, " being right". Today to go one step further, to be right or wrong or to make others right or wrong, we must first judge ourselves or others. We must don our fancy black robe, walk up the stairs of our pedestal of pride and assume we know more than we do. This kind of mindset is an illusion. How can we know the heart and mind of another, when many times, we can't even understand our own.
This is why Christ, taught us not to judge. We are unqualified and unequipped for the task. And yet we find ourselves, making snap judgements on the appearance of people and situations and circumstances all the time. We then sentence them to remain in the labels and roles we place them in. How we label, judge and think about people, says more about ourselves then it does about them. This is a mirror and not a microscope we are looking into.
If we step back, we can learn some valuable lessons about ourselves, when we look at our judgements of others and ourselves. In turn we need to release these judgements into the hands of God, and release and forgive ourselves and others through love and trust God to bring out the true beauty and purpose of our lives. May God grant us the vision of heart to see ourselves and others, truly through the eyes of Love, without the ego's illusion of judgement!
Peace!
