The Mindset is the miracle

In order to change our lives, we must believe in the possibility and potential of change. If we are locked into a mindset of doubt, fear, guilt or shame it limits our outlook and therefore makes it impossible for change. Scripture teaches that "because of the peoples unbelief, Christ could do no miracles." However, we also see that when he did perform miracles, he first asked the recipient to perform some small action, that previous they could not do, in short, the miracle required a change in mindset. In fact the change in mindset is the miracle. I am not just talking about positive thinking. (see yesterday's post)** No matter what you want to change in life, it begins with a thought and a change of how we think. Sometimes the first step is simply to become aware of the negative thinking and observe it. Remember, we are not our thoughts. They like emotions are only passing and fleeting like weather patterns. We then can begin to replace them with the thoughts that are in line with what we want and what God wants for us. This shift in thinking becomes a miracle and then we become open to a shift in behavior and reaction to opportunities that otherwise we would have not been open to or even aware of. Life then becomes an adventure and buffet of opportunities. God is Love, God is Life, God is purpose! When we align with God we align with Life and all of its blessings! Peace!
