I have made a fresh commitment to be more consistent in my writing. Because it is when we share and give through teaching, that we learn the most.
Today I was watching an interview with Jane Fonda. I love to hear the stories of others, we can learn so much from each-other's life's and journeys. This is why i am such a believer in mentoring. In the interview she said a simple and yet very profound statement. This is how God speaks to us sometimes. When someone makes a statement and grabs our hearts attention and reverberates through our whole being. Just like a tuning fork. Jane said, " we aren't meant to be perfect, we are meant to be whole."
When we pursue perfection, we pursue a phantom. Something that never can be fully realized. Whether it is in relationships, where we look beyond the blessings of the relationships we have for the "perfect one" or whether it is in body image, where we pursue the ideal "look" instead of health. When we try to be what we think will please God, instead of understanding that God delights in who you are and God's only desire in change for you is to bring you into fullness of wholeness. This "wholeness is a life-long process of growth and love. Do not focus on the destination, but instead enjoy the journey.
God desires to meet us where we are, and for us to grasp the great Love God has for us. To understand that God delights in our company and celebrates us. God knows what you have need of and is excited to walk with you on this great journey we call life.
This may not be the understanding you have of God. Perhaps you have others tell you who God is. Never take another person's judgement of anyone. Instead find out for yourself.
This is some of what I know so far!
