Right or Love?

The Course is miracles says, that you can either be right or happy. The Ego always seeks to be right. Many arguments or relationship problems come down to the inability or lack of willingness to give up rightness. Many do not forgive, because they see forgiveness as synomonous with admitting they were wrong and the other party was right.

Relationship is built on Love and not rightness. Whether you are talking about family, significant other, God or friend. If my life's mission is to make you agree that I am right, I will miss out on relationship and love. If I accept you and love you for who you are, then I open myself to love and relationship.

Religion, race and political wars are founded on focusing on differences, and the "other" not being right or like us. What if instead we looked at each other for our commonalities, instead of our differences. What if instead of challenging our differences, we celebrated them.

Our ego seeks to affirm its own worth and place by conforming others into its cookie cutter or demonizing their differences as evil. Because after all their is only right to wrong, black or white, right?
If life has taught me anything, it is I know hardly anything. Thankfully, God has not left me in darkness or ignorance, but the way forward, is lighted by Love. I do not have to go forward in life fearing what I do not understand, or judging it as wrong. After all my life's purpose is not Judge or potter of the clay. My life's purpose is to be a vessel of Love. To grow in Love and relationship with God, myself and others. I leave your journey to your teacher, who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than I. My job, is to love and support you and pray for your best.

For those hard to love cases, well here is a chance for me to learn and grow. I surrender them and myself to God, to learn how to release, forgive and love one another. I am not perfect, I am just taking the class and will eventually pass the test and be promoted. I do not claim to be right, for that is the same as saying I have attained all knowledge of truth. But I do choose to be happy, so I chose to Love!
